Sew Happy Quilting
Meet the Maker
Hey there, I'm Andrea and the proud owner of Sew Happy Quilting. I'm a mom of three spunky and fun lovin' teens/twenty-somethings and a fuzzy golden retriever named Jordy. I love 80's music, Caribbean vacations, quilting, spending time with my husband and kids, and girlfriend time with dear friends. I live in Vermont with 4 fun seasons (ok but summer is my fav)!
I hope my shop will soon be your one stop shop for all those unique and thoughtful gifts. You know, that gift you won't find anyplace else. You hit a certain point in your life where the chain store candle or scarf just doesn't "do it" anymore. You want to be the gift giver that goes above and beyond and not that person that keeps a whole stash of impersonal gifts on the shelf down cellar for future gift giving occasions. Am I right?
I hear you! Come in, browse and find that special something for the long distance friend or family member, the teacher, the traveler, your momma, the supportive coworker, etc. I guarantee you will feel the passion and love that is poured into every item in my shop. Whatever you purchase, the uniqueness radiates, making everyone "feel the love".
Your happiness is my top priority and I am here for you every step of the way. I don't want you to take my word for it, but I'd rather you hear what other buyers have to say who have purchased from Sew Happy Quilting whether it be here or on my other selling platforms. What's an added bonus is I ship for free AND you get lightning fast shipping too! Message me anytime with any questions you have - I'm here for you through every single step of your purchase.
XOXO,
Andrea Scott, Owner and Sewing Enthusiast
How it’s Made
These handmade passport covers are made out of my home studio in Vermont with my trusty sidekick, my Janome sewing machine. They are made from high quality 100% cotton fabrics with a stabilizer fabric used on the inside to help the covers keep their shape. I sew a finishing stitch all around the edge of each passport to give it a rich finished look.

Care Instructions:
Most of my fabric creations are washable - cold water, gentle cycle. And you can dry them too - tumble dry on low setting or lie flat to dry. Please spot clean those and do not iron or place them in the dryer.
FAQ's:
* Sizing details
Product sizes vary for each quilted item produced. Please refer to the description of the particular item and look for the "Size" section. Or you can always message me and I will promptly inform you of the size and help you in any way I can.
* Custom and personalized orders
I happily accept custom requests. If you would like a particular color/size of a fabric creation, just contact me and tell me what you would like. I will work closely with you to show you fabrics I find and get your "ok" before starting the quilting process. Depending on the product, I should be able to get most small items done within 2 weeks. If you are requesting a baby quilt, that could take 3-4 weeks to finish. At this time I don't personalize quilted items by adding names, etc.
* Sew Happy Quilting's Response Time
I reply within 24 hours. I pride myself on my quick response to messages sent to me. Depending on your question, I usually can get back to you immediately. If you are requesting a measurement or inquiring about whether I have a certain fabric in stock, I usually have to wait a few hours until I'm home to visually check my inventory for you.
* Allergens
My quilting business is run out of my home. I live in a smoke free home. We are a dog friendly home and have a golden retriever named Jordy. As much as he loves being with his momma, I either close my quilting room door or put a gate across the door when I'm working and Jordy must stay in the hall. I keep the pet hair away from all my sewing creations.
* Quilting Experience
I have been quilting for nearly 30 years, starting in high school and never stopping. I have taken countless quilting classes over the years and have learned so many techniques along the way. I am at my sewing machine at least 5 days a week which makes me super happy and helps me constantly hoan in on new skills and techniques.
